Although many general contractors have made good progress to ensure the safety of all workers at every stage of a project, there are still instances where accidents happen. The Construction Industry Institute’s latest report, “Improving Site Safety Performance through Operational Excellence,” indicates the rate of improvement among industry leaders has slowed down. Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention Membership Grows
PRINCETON, N.J. – After the July 2016 Centers for Disease Control report showed construction is one of the most at-risk industries for suicide, more than 30 key organizations have pledged support of the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention. WASHINGTON, D.C. — Associated Builders and Contractors celebrates Safety Week 2017 with a call for the construction industry to pledge support for substance abuse prevention and implement additional safety processes that lead to world-class safety performance. Construction Association Unveils Steps to Improve Worker Safety
The Associated General Contractors of America unveiled a new study designed to improve the safety of construction workers as it announced that two-thirds of metro areas added construction jobs during the past 12 months. Association officials said the new safety study is designed to help construction firms prevent workplace fatalities and injuries. “We all share a common goal: getting to zero construction fatalities,” said Stephen E.
