In the past decade, Sonnhalter has raised more than $336,000 worth in donations for the organization. Construction Begins on Spelman College’s Center for Innovation and the Arts
Construction has started for Spelman College’s Center for Innovation & the Arts in Atlanta, Georgia. Turner Construction Company is the general contractor on the project. The 84,000-square-foot education center will house Spelman College’s creative and scientific disciplines in one dynamic space. The building will serve as a catalyst for interdisciplinary interaction, and will bring together a vibrant community of innovators, collaborators, artists, musicians and scientists. A Forum invites participation from multiple disciplines and a Hive, or network of connected spaces, encourages interdisciplinary experimentation, collaboration, active play and research. The $75-million project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2024.
Swinerton Completes Presidio Tunnel Tops Park Project in San Francisco
Swinerton completed the Presidio Tunnel Tops project, a 14-acre park that sits atop the Presidio Parkway tunnels in San Francisco, California. The $118-million project replaces Doyle Drive. The park features scenic overlooks, trails and picnic areas, alongside views of the Golden Gate Bridge. The area is surrounded by meadows that host 180 varieties of plants native to the area. The American Iron and Steel Institute has been reaccredited by the American National Standards Institute under its revised operating procedures for documenting consensus on AISI-sponsored American National Standards. The revised procedures replace the previous version approved June 13, 2017.
