Poettker Construction’s Tom Albers Retires after 43 Years  

Poettker Construction Company’s Vice President of Field Operations Tom Albers will retire after 43 years. Albers’ retirement coincides with the company’s 43rd anniversary. Albers joined Poettker as project superintendent in 1980 after completing his carpentry apprentice program. By 1986, Albers was named vice president of field operations responsible for providing overall leadership and technical direction for field operations, including site safety and quality, continuous field technology improvements and innovations in construction processes that helped Poettker expand regionally and enter new markets. C.W. Driver Companies Breaks Ground on New Pasadena Campus  

Driver SPG, an affiliate of C.W. Driver Companies, has broken ground on a new campus addition to Villa Esperanza Services, a nonprofit which has served intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals in Los Angeles and Ventura counties since 1961. The project will be built across two phases, replacing existing structures. The first phase consists of an 8,600 square-foot occupational therapy clinic, a 21,000 square-foot physical education and therapeutic center and three additional school classrooms. Multispecialty Surgery Center, Medical Office Building Expands Care in Jacksonville

Dana B. Kenyon Company and Gresham Smith have completed a new multispecialty surgery center, home to Jax Spine & Pain Centers and UF Health Jacksonville, under the direction of UF Jacksonville Physicians, Inc. in Florida. One of the largest freestanding multispecialty surgery centers in the region, the 54,000-square-foot facility was designed and constructed to offer specialized healthcare services, outpatient surgeries, interventional spine procedures and pain management. DBK delivered this facility using its design-build approach and partnered with Gresham Smith, the architect and interior designer, and ETM, the civil engineer.
