AGC Reports 3/4 of Metro Areas Add Construction Jobs January 2021-2022, Soaring Job Openings Indicate Lack of Workers Kept Employment Totals Down

Construction employment increased in nearly three out of four U.S. metro areas in January compared to a year ago, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of new government employment data. Contract Awarded to Construct $279-M Advanced Semiconductor Facility at Hanscom Air Force Base

Gilbane, in a joint venture partnership with cleanroom constructor Exyte, has been awarded the firm fixed price construction of a new a $279-million Advanced Compound Semiconductor Laboratory/Microsystem Integration Facility for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lincoln Laboratory located at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. MIT LL is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center chartered to apply advanced technology to problems of national security.
