ABC’s Construction Confidence Index Surges in Q1
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Despite ongoing concerns regarding labor force availability and rising interest rates, and emerging concerns regarding tariffs and construction materials prices, construction contractors emerged from the first quarter of 2018 with tremendous confidence, according to the Associated Builders and Contractors Construction Confidence Index. Brasfield & Gorrie Selected to Build Newest Addition to Toringdon Development
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Trinity Capital Advisors will begin construction of Toringdon 7 this month, the seventh and final office building in South Charlotte, North Carolina’s Toringdon Office Park. The eight-story, 198,195-square-foot building’s shell construction is scheduled for completion by summer 2019. Toringdon 7 features nearly column-free floorplans, floor-to-ceiling windows and a four-per-thousand parking ratio, along with unmatched visibility from I-485 and Community House Road. The general contractor is working on several projects in the area for Trinity Capital Advisors, including 2200 Perimeter Park, Perimeter Five, Perimeter Six and Syneos Health Headquarters.
Construction Costs Soar in May, Outpace Contractor Pricing
Construction costs accelerated again in May, with steep increases for a wide range of building and road materials, including many that are subject to tariffs that could drive prices still higher, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of new Labor Department data.
