The Korte Company, along with its joint-venture partner Sheffield Construction, LLC, will begin construction on a 600-member Army Reserve Center near Waldorf, Maryland. The design-build project includes the design and construction of an ARC training facility (79,795 square feet), organizational maintenance shop (5,703 square feet) and an unheated storage building (5,163 square feet). The scope of work includes site development including sitework, utilities and anti-terrorism/force protection, as well as other site improvements to support the development.

Hensel Phelps Awarded CMAR Contract at Austin-Bergstrom Airport
Hensel Phelps was recently awarded a construction manager-at-risk contract for the concessions build-out at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Austin, Texas. This contract is with Delaware North Travel Hospitality Inc., a hospitality, food service and retail company, servicing airports and sports venues across the globe. The scope of work consists of food services spaces, retail, travel and an off-site commissary. The Services Group anticipates commencement of construction in January of 2016, with a December 2017 completion.
McCarthy Breaks Ground on Museum of Fine Arts, Houston Campus Project
McCarthy recently broke ground on a project to expand the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, one of the largest museums in the United States and also the oldest art museum in Texas. Steven Holl Architects is the architect on the project. The project is located in the heart of the Museum District, a culture-filled area that attracts more than 8 million visitors each year.
