Clark Tapped to Build Park Tower at Transbay

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — Clark Construction Group has been awarded a contract to build the Park Tower at Transbay, a 43-story office building in downtown San Francisco, California. A joint venture of The John Buck Company, Golub and Company, and Metlife tapped Clark to construct the 872,000-square-foot building, which features two below-grade levels of parking. The building’s façade will be comprised of curtainwall with glass fins. When complete, the tower will feature sky decks offering views of the city and the San Francisco Bay. Construction Employment Declines September 2014-15, Labor Shortage Continues

Construction employment declined in 144 out of 358 metro areas between September 2014 and September 2015, while construction was stagnant in 55 and increased in 159 metro areas, according to a new analysis of federal employment data recently released by the Associated General Contractors of America. TKC Awarded Visitor’s Quarters at Scott Air Force Base

The Korte Company was recently awarded a construction contract for a six-story, 284-room Visitor’s Quarters at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. When completed in the fall of 2017, the 170,000-square-foot facility is designed to be USGBC LEED Certified Silver. The guest rooms include many of the amenities as a hotel room, including a bed, desk, closet, as well as a microwave and refrigerator. Felling Trailers Online Auction to Benefit Alzheimer’s Disease Organization

SAUK CENTRE, Minn. — Felling Trailers conducted its third online auction of a FT-3 drop deck utility trailer to benefit a non-profit organization. The company wanted to bring awareness of and support to Alzheimer’s disease and individuals affected by the disease. Felling Trailers manufactured and painted one of its most popular trailers “Alzheimer’s purple” and auctioned it online for 10 days during the month of October.
