With Knutson Construction since 1984, Greg Ball has been promoted to superintendent. Over the past 31 years, Ball has become an exceptional team member delivering The Knutson Experience in all of his work. Recently, Ball played an integral role leading and acquiring work at the University of Minnesota. Over the past several years, he has also successfully completed projects for 3M, Eide Bailly and is working on the Syngenta Seed Care Institute expansion project in Stanton, Minnesota. Construction Employment Rises September 2015 Year-Over-Year

Construction employment expanded in 35 states and the District of Columbia between September 2014 and September 2015, yet only 23 states added jobs between August and September, according to an analysis of Labor Department data recently released by the Associated General Contractors of America. Korte Begins Work on VCA Decatur Animal Hospital

The Korte Company is beginning work on a new 2-story veterinarian hospital for VCA Decatur Animal Hospital, located at 1117 North Decatur Blvd. in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new 5,527-square-foot facility will be built adjacent to the existing clinic, which will remain in place and operational during the construction. The new facility's design provides a modern veterinary hospital with interior finishes including skylights, tongue and groove ceilings and acoustical ceiling tiles which offer an open, aesthetic environment throughout the interior spaces. MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — The Rochester Fire Station No. 2 open house was Thursday, Oct. 15 at the new fire station in northeast Rochester, Minnesota. The new fire station, built by Knutson Construction, provides the Rochester Fire Department with a new 31,000-square-foot facility and is replacing the fire station previously located near Silver Lake, Minnesota. The new station includes a dispatch center, emergency operations center, office space and a communications room. Turner Releases Third Quarter Building Cost Index

Turner Construction Company has released its Third Quarter 2015 Turner Building Cost Index — which measures costs in the non-residential building construction market in the United States. The value has increased to 949, which reflects a 1.17 percent increase from second quarter 2015 and a 4.52 percent yearly increase from third quarter 2014. Reduced cost of fuel and manufactured components was offset by a continued increase in construction activity which drove an overall increase of costs in the third quarter.
