Mortenson Construction, the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority and the Minnesota Vikings recently celebrated the topping out of U.S. Bank Stadium on the downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota construction site. More than 11,000 tons of steel help make up the new U.S. Bank Stadium roof, including the 989 foot-long, 1,700 ton ridge truss, which stands 214 feet above the playing field. NEW YORK, N.Y. — According to FMI's 2015 Issue 2 M&A Advisor, public engineering and construction firms are underperforming the broader market. Public E&C firms historically have outperformed the broader market during periods of expansion and underperformed during periods of contraction.
