Gilbane Awarded Cobb County School District Project

MARIETTA, Ga. — Gilbane Building Company is serving as the construction manager for Cobb County School District, the second largest school district in Georgia, on both Brumby Elementary School and Walton High School. Combined, the two projects will bring more than 200 new instructional units to the district. The Brumby Elementary School will include construction of 71 new instructional units consisting of classroom and administrative areas, media center, physical education, personnel services, food services and utility areas. Tocci Building Companies Begins Renovation of 120,000 SF Facility

WOBURN, Mass. — Tocci Building Companies recently kicked off the renovation of a 120,000-square-foot facility at 65 Grove Street in Watertown, Massachusetts. The $13-million project will transform an outdated manufacturing plant into a premier office space. 65 Grove Street, formerly the home of GE Ionics, currently features a three-story brick façade, ribbon windows and an attached parking structure. Construction Employment Declines in August, Reports AGC

Construction employment declined in 153 out of 358 metro areas between August 2014 and August 2015, nearly matching the 163 areas that added construction jobs, according to a new analysis of federal employment data released by the Associated General Contractors of America.
