Construction Expected to Grow at Modest Rate Across Key Sectors
NEW YORK, N.Y. — Construction activities are expected to grow at 5 percent in 2015, leveling off from the previous forecast of 8 percent in Q1 2015, according to the Q2 Construction Outlook recently released by FMI Corporation. Architecture Billings Index Returns to Positive Territory
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Led by growing demand for new schools, hospitals, cultural facilities and municipal buildings, the Architecture Billings Index increased in May following its second monthly drop this year. As a leading economic indicator of construction activity, the ABI reflects the approximate 9-12-month lead time between architecture billings and construction spending. The American Institute of Architects reported the May ABI score was 51.9, up from a mark of 48.8 in April.
