AGC States Skilled Construction Workers are in Demand

Construction employment increased in 145 out of 339 metropolitan areas between January 2012 and January 2013, declined in 141 and was stagnant in 53, according to a new analysis of federal employment data released today by the Associated General Contractors of America. Growth in Construction Activity, Equipment and Material Price Increases Boosts Construction Costs

NEW YORK, N.Y. — Turner Construction Company announced that the First Quarter 2013 Turner Building Cost Index — which measures costs in the non-residential building construction market in the United States — has increased to a value of 849. AGC Reports on December to January Construction Employment Data

Construction employment expanded in two-thirds of all states in January as the industry showed signs of emerging from a six-year slump, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of Labor Department data. National Contractors Group Names Opp Construction 2012 Safest

Opp Construction of Grand Forks, N.D. was named the nation's safest construction company in 2012 by the Associated General Contractors of America.
