Kraus-Anderson Breaks Ground on New Sanford Health Clinic

BAGLEY, Minn. — Kraus-Anderson Construction Company will begin construction on a new 10,798-square-foot clinic in Bagley, Minn. for Sanford Health. The project’s developer is Greater Bemidji, which will lease the facility to Sanford Health. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 26 at the clinic, which is located at 1656 Central St. W. in Bagley. Designed by MJ Architectural Studios, the new $1.5-million clinic features an X-ray room, blood draw lab, 12 examination rooms, two treatment rooms, physical therapy room and nine offices.

Strong Rebound for Architecture Billings Index

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Following the first reversal into negative territory in ten months in April, the Architecture Billings Index has bounced back in May. As a leading economic indicator of construction activity, the ABI reflects the approximate nine to twelve month lag time between architecture billings and construction spending. The American Institute of Architects reported the May ABI score was 52.9, up dramatically from a mark of 48.6 in April. SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Balfour Beatty Construction has earned LEED Gold certification for its southwest division office location in San Diego, Calif. The firm occupies the third floor of the Cush Plaza Office Building located in Scripps Ranch. Construction of the 22,100-square-foot space required full system design and implementation, as the existing structure consisted of the core only.
