WASHINGTON, D.C. — Turner Construction Company announced its largest program in the area to date. The 2013 Turner School of Construction Management will be hosted by the DC Small Business Development Center at Howard University. Turner developed an 8-week curriculum to provide management training and certification to potential subcontractors. The Association of Equipment Manufacturers recently updated its already extensive online safety pictorial database. More than a dozen new and updated pictorials have been added, increasing the number of graphics to 145, with more additions planned in the near future. AEM's free service promotes effective safety messaging through the use of consistent, industry-recognized pictorial images that are not dependent on language to warn operators and others of potential hazards.
