Prices for construction materials moved higher in January, propelled by large jumps in items used in new housing and nonresidential building renovations, according to an analysis of new federal figures released today by the Associated General Contractors of America. Turner School of Construction Management Coming to Greater Washington D.C.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Turner Construction Company announced its largest program in the area to date. The 2013 Turner School of Construction Management will be hosted by the DC Small Business Development Center at Howard University. Turner developed an 8-week curriculum to provide management training and certification to potential subcontractors. AEM Updates Safety Pictorial Database
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers recently updated its already extensive online safety pictorial database. More than a dozen new and updated pictorials have been added, increasing the number of graphics to 145, with more additions planned in the near future. AEM's free service promotes effective safety messaging through the use of consistent, industry-recognized pictorial images that are not dependent on language to warn operators and others of potential hazards.
