ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The American Society of Concrete Contractors, St. Louis, Mo. and the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, Silver Spring, Md., have published Checklist for Concrete Producer — Concrete Contractor Fresh Concrete Performance Expectations.   The document is in keeping with an initiative to facilitate a construction industry change from prescription specifications to performance specifications. McCarthy's Construction Team ‘Go Red’ at Jobsite

 OAKLAND, Calif. — In support of the American Heart Association's “National Go Red for Women Day,” employees from McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. and various subcontractors on the Kaiser Oakland Medical Center jobsite participated in an all-day event today to raise awareness about the critical issue of cardiovascular disease in women.         McCarthy organized the event and encouraged employees to wear red to show their support for the campaign. American Legion Post Reopens After Facility Renovations

Construction charity organization AGC Charities, Inc. completed renovations to an American Legion Post located on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. to make the facility more handicap accessible. Dozens of local contractors donated their time, expertise and money to make a series of improvements to the Kenneth H. Construction Employment, Spending Hit Three-Year High

Revised government data issued shows the construction industry is contributing substantially to economic and employment growth, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America. Association officials noted that construction employment rose for the eighth consecutive month in January, while construction spending in December increased for the ninth month in a row.
