LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The design-build team of McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. and HDR Architecture, Inc. have recently begun construction of the new $150-million Martin Luther King, Jr. Multi-Service Ambulatory Care Center in Los Angeles. The new 132,550-square-foot facility was designed to meet LEED-Gold standards. AIA Releases IPD Survey Results, 12 Expanded IPD Case Studies
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Institute of Architects Center for Integrated Practice has released the results of the Integrated Project Delivery Awareness Survey that reveals that 84 percent of AIA members are aware of its market presence, 40 percent of members demonstrate understanding of IPD and 13 percent of members are using IPD methodologies for construction projects (a significant increase over 2010 AIA Firm Survey figures). The survey also found that teams engaged in IPD are finding satisfaction beyond expectations. Haskell Selected to Design, build Maryland Proton Treatment Center
