The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe has completed a solar photovoltaic installation project in Milwaukee, Wis. funded in part with $2.6 million from the U.S. Department of Energy. The project is one of five Community Renewable Energy Deployment (CommRE) projects that received DOE funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, and is the first to be completed. Construction Underway on New Patient Tower at St. Jude Medical Campus in California
FULLERTON, Calif. — The design/build team of McCarthy Building Companies, Inc., and TAYLOR, are working with St. Joseph Health System to build a new patient tower, parking structure and central utility plant at the St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, Calif. An integral part of the St. Jude Medical Center's multi-phased Master Plan, the $285.4-million project includes construction of a 200,000-square-foot, four-story acute care building with a connecting bridge to level four of the existing hospital building and a 14,000-square-foot central utility plant. Construction Spending Increases Slightly in September
Construction spending increased by 0.2 percent between August and September but was down 1.3 percent compared to September 2010, the Associated General Contractors of America reported in an analysis of new Census Bureau data.
