U.S. Construction Machinery Exports up 48% at Mid-Year 2011

U.S. exports of construction equipment continued to grow in 2011 and ended the first half of the year up 48 percent compared to January-June of 2010. Total construction machinery exports at midyear were $11 billion, according to the Association of Equipment Manufacturers. Construction Fatalities Decline by Nearly 10% between 2009 and 2010

Industry Continues Focus on Workplace Safety The number of construction fatalities declined by nearly 10 percent between 2009 and 2010 and by almost 40 percent during the past five years, according to an analysis of new federal data prepared by the Associated General Contractors of America.
