22 States Add Construction Jobs between May 2010 & 2011

Construction employment growth remained sluggish and uneven in May as nearly half – 22 states plus the District of Columbia – added jobs over the past year, while the remaining states all lost construction jobs, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of state employment data released by the Labor Department. American Society of Safety Engineers" Exposition Breaks Record, Showcases Cutting-Edge Technology and Products

CHICAGO, Ill. — Officials of the 100-year-old American Society of Safety Engineers" (ASSE) 2011 Exposition announced that the Chicago exposition, opened Sunday, is a record breaker. Held in conjunction with ASSE's Professional Development Conference (PDC) being held June 12-15 at the Chicago McCormick Place Convention Center, the expo features close to 500 exhibitors and sold 75,000 square feet.
