DENVER, Colo. — 1800 Larimer, the Denver Central Business District’s first high-rise office in more than 25 years, has been awarded LEED Platinum certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Westfield Company, Inc. announced today. Alabama Construction Industry Launches Campaign to Combat Looming Shortage of Skilled Workers
“Dirty Jobs” executive producer and host Mike Rowe to appear in campaign MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Approximately one third of all skilled tradesmen in the construction industry are over the age of 50. With their retirement on the horizon, training programs are not producing enough young workers to replace those exiting the industry. U.S. Workers Risking Injury by Not Wearing Required Safety Equipment
Survey of Safety Professionals Finds Shockingly High Incidence of Noncompliance ROSWELL, GA. — Nearly all of the safety professionals in a survey released today said that workers in their organizations had at some point failed to wear the necessary safety equipment while on the job.
