Most Infrastructure Categories Post Year-to-Date Declines Compared to 1st 8 Months of 2020, Reports AGC

Total construction spending was flat between July and August, as a decrease in nonresidential projects offset continuing gains in residential construction, according to a new analysis of federal construction spending data the Associated General Contractors of America. Association Reports Prices for Key Construction Materials Increase, Contractors Struggle to Deliver On-Time

The prices contractors pay for construction materials continued to increase in August, while many firms report struggles to get those materials delivered on time, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of government data. AGC Launches New Initiative to Address Climate Change, Pushes for Construction of Less Carbon-Intensive Projects

Construction officials outlined a series of steps public officials and the construction industry should take to address the impacts of the built environment on climate change.
