U of A Student Success District Project Designed to Encourage Seamless Transition between Spaces

Sundt Construction, Inc. recently started construction on the University of Arizona Student Success District in Tucson, Arizona. The project will transform the main library, the science-engineering library and bear down gym, while adding a new four-story student success building into an interconnected district, which will provide indoor and outdoor spaces. The new district will encourage students to move seamlessly between spaces that provide a full range of services and expertise, allowing them to reach their academic and career goals. Groundbreaking Marks Construction Start on Great Lakes Naval Station Project

Clark Construction, joint venture partner Blinderman Construction and the Naval Facilities Engineering Command celebrated the start of work at the P-714 Unaccompanied Housing Project with a groundbreaking ceremony. The Design-Build project, located at Naval Station Great Lakes in Chicago, Illinois, will feature a new 166,000-square-foot barracks capable of housing more than 600 enlisted military personnel. Opened in 1911, the NSGL is the Navy’s largest training installation and the home of the Navy’s only Boot Camp. CIMIC Group Wins $725M Regional Rail Project

CIMIC Group companies Pacific Partnerships, UGL and CPB Contractors, as part of the Momentum Trains consortium, have been selected by Transport for NSW to deliver the $1.26-billion Regional Rail Project as a design, build, finance and maintain contract. The consortium will deliver a new regional rail fleet and a new maintenance facility in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia. Sundt | Yates Construction, a joint venture, recently completed a hotel expansion at the Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort near Maricopa, Arizona. The Design-Build project added a new 12-story, 388,000-square-foot, 230-room hotel tower and a 730-space parking structure.
