ATLANTA, Ga. – One of the most exciting and iconic projects in the city of Atlanta, Georgia’s booming Old Fourth Ward neighborhood has moved a major step closer to completion. The City of Atlanta Department of Parks and Recreation and Winter Johnson FS360, a joint venture, recently celebrated topping out of the new Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation and Aquatic Center. Linbeck Group Constructs Project for The University of Texas at Austin

HOUSTON/Austin, Texas – Linbeck Group, LLC, has begun building Austin by Ellsworth Kelly, the artist’s gift to the Blanton Museum of Art at The University of Texas at Austin. Skanska to Build I-15 Express Lanes Project in California’s Inland Empire

Skanska and joint venture firm Ames Construction have been awarded a $243.9-million Design-Build contract from the Riverside County Transportation Commission to construct new express toll lanes on the I-15 freeway in California. Skanska USA Civil will include its $146.3-million portion of the contract in its Q1 2017 order bookings. The project will improve I-15 between Cajalco Road and State Route 60, adding two tolled express lanes in each direction, a distance of 14.6 miles. Winter Construction Tops Out Solis Hotel

ATLANTA, Ga. – Winter Construction has topped out the new Solis Hotel Two Porsche Drive. The new eight-story luxury hotel is adjacent to Georgia’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and the Porsche North America headquarters. The topping out at Solis Hotel is especially notable given the unique design of the roof, which includes a terrace lounge with panoramic views of the Porsche driver development track and landings and takeoffs at the airport.
