In his role, he will oversee the daily operations of the preconstruction department. Orange Technical College Completes Comprehensive Renovation
In collaboration with Orange Technical College and architectural firm Harvard Jolly, Gilbane Building Company celebrated the ribbon cutting of the comprehensive renovation project within OTC’s main campus in the heart of Creative Village in Orlando, Florida. This 135,000-square-foot, five-story facility, which had not seen such extensive renovation since its opening in 1981, underwent a complete re-roofing and significant building envelope enhancements. Gilbane Building Company, Prestige Construction Group Selected to Build Richmond Diamond District Ballpark
Gilbane Building Company in association with Prestige Construction Group has been selected by the Richmond Flying Squirrels to build a new stadium to support the Richmond Flying Squirrels and Virginia Commonwealth University. The planned 10,000-seat Richmond Diamond District Ballpark will have an industrial, warehouse feel meant to pay homage to Richmond‘s railway lineage. The stadium project, managed by Machete Group, is the cornerstone of the large-scale, multi-billion-dollar Diamond District development. The project will be delivered in under two years, in time for the 2026 baseball season. The project’s goal is to spend 40% of the improvement cost of the entire project on emerging small businesses and minority business enterprises.

Gilbane Expands Rising Contractor Program, Building Opportunities for Diverse Businesses
Gilbane Building Company has expanded its Rising Contractor program, a 12-week program designed to build capacity in minority-owned, women-owned, disadvantaged, LGBTQ and veteran-owned construction companies. The program includes virtual and in-person training, as well as one-on-one mentor relationships. More than 245 companies nationwide have graduated from the program since 2020. Over 75 companies are participating in the 2024 cohort. Gilbane is committed to generating $100 million in awards through 2026 for program graduates.
