McCarthy Holdings, Inc., dedicates Aug. 29 – Sept. 2 to celebrating the firm’s craft professional workforce. The company will be hosting events on jobsites across the country to recognize more than 3,000 craft professionals while highlighting the importance of construction careers to local communities and the nation. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports more than 439,000 construction laborer job openings available across the country. The Associated General Contractors of America reports that 90% of firms hope to hire new workers in 2022. McCarthy Finishes Construction on Advanced Technology and Applied Sciences Building

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. completed construction for the Advanced Technology and Applied Sciences building at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, California. This effectively finishes the original scope of the three-year project set out by the college. The new facility, which opened June 2022, was completed in partnership with national architecture and design firm HED and is a 52,913-square-foot LEED Gold-Equivalent multidisciplinary space.   The main layout of the building connects directly to the campus pedestrian network. McCarthy Completes Barbours Cut Terminal Container Yard 3N

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. has completed construction on the Barbours Cut Terminal Container Yard 3N for the Port Houston Authority in Houston, Texas. The project is part of a modernization program to increase cargo handling efficiency. The container yard adds approximately 10 acres of new shipping container storage at the terminal complex. The company was tasked with a rehabilitation of the existing site which included new utility upgrades, new high-mast light poles and a realignment of the main interterminal access road through this area.
