The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Skanska USA Building Inc. have established a strategic partnership to promote workplace safety during the expansion of the Christiana Care Health System Women’s and Infant Tower Renovation Project in Newark, Delaware. The partnership seeks to educate workers about how to control or eliminate serious hazards, and to establish effective safety and health programs during the construction of a 385,000-square-foot new patient tower at the hospital. OSHA, Turner Construction Partner to Promote Workplace Safety during Hospital Project

ERIE, Pa. – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Turner Construction Company have established a strategic partnership to promote workplace safety for a building project at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pennsylvania. The partnership seeks to educate workers, control or eliminate serious hazards and establish effective safety and health programs for the project. The project – scheduled for completion in 2020 – includes a 200,000-square-foot, seven-floor patient care building. OSHA, Turner Forge Partnership to Train, Protect Construction Workers on CH2 Data Center

OSHA and Turner Construction Turner Company recently established a partnership to protect workers on the CH2 Data Center project in Northlake, Illinois. The partnership includes trade unions and 15 subcontractors, with a combined workforce of more than 500 employees. Construction of the $275-million, 22.8 megawatt data center is expected to be complete in 2018. The partnership will emphasize reducing injury and illness on the jobsite and will focus training on the top four construction industry hazards: falls, struck-by, caught-in/between and electrocutions.
