ST. LOUIS, Mo. — MC Industrial, Inc., an independent McCarthy company, recently announced the promotion of Jared Ragsdale to safety director. He will have the primary responsibility for overseeing MC Industrial’s corporate safety program.
As corporate safety director, Ragsdale will oversee all day-to-day planning and administration of MC Industrial’s rigorous safety program, including interim life safety and OSHA compliance company-wide. He will perform safety risk analyses of construction activities with subcontractors and trade workers, and interface with each client’s personnel to ensure all projects are coordinated with the owner’s safety requirements and policies.
Joining the company in 2007, Ragsdale most recently served as MC Industrial’s Chicagoland division safety manager leading onsite project specific safety plans and implementations. He will be transitioning into his new role as safety director over the next six months, replacing Steve Miller who was promoted to central division safety director for sister company McCarthy Building Companies, Inc.
Ragsdale received a bachelor’s degree in safety management from the University of Central Missouri. He is a certified Construction Health & Safety Technician and a member of the American Society of Safety Engineers since 2007.
