Contractors, Engineers Travel to Bolivia to Build Suspension Footbridge

CHALLOMA CHICO, Bolivia – An established partnership between Walsh Construction, Bridges to Prosperity and International Bridge Technologies resulted in the construction of a new 160-foot suspended footbridge for a remote village in Bolivia. Challoma Chico, located in the country’s La Paz region, is a mountainous community home to approximately 450 residents that was becoming separated from essential goods and services by the Rio Yaco River. MCKINNEY, Texas – MYCON General Contractors has been awarded the preconstruction and general contracting services to build a new $6.3-million educational addition for Woodcreek Church in Richardson, Texas. HOUSTON, Texas – Linbeck Group, LLC has completed construction of the new Agriculture & Business Multipurpose Classroom Building at Prairie View A&M University in Houston, Texas. At a total cost of $29 million, the 96,000-square-foot building joins together the College of Business and the College of Agriculture and Human Sciences into a centrally located hub of activity at the university, located 45 miles northwest of Houston. Construction Begins on New Pima Animal Care Center

TUCSON, Ariz. – Construction of a new shelter is underway at Pima Animal Care Center in Tucson, Arizona. Sundt Construction, Inc. recently began the first phase of the project. The new shelter will be approximately 60,000 square feet. Nearly 93 percent of the total area is allocated to functions that directly house or support the housing, care and adoption of pets at PACC.
