McCarthy To Build First Ismaili Center in the United States

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. has begun construction on the Ismaili Center in Houston, Texas, the first Ismaili Center in the United States. McCarthy is the general contractor on the project but is also self-performing all the concrete work. Spearheaded by the Aga Khan, the spiritual leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslims, the cultural center will serve as a gathering space open to all faiths. Novant Health Marks Construction Milestone with Topping Out Ceremony

Novant Health and construction firm Robins & Morton reached structural completion at the new Novant Health Ballantyne Medical Center and Medical Office Building in Charlotte, North Carolina. Once complete in 2023, the $154-million investment will bring acute care resources to the growing suburban population in South Charlotte through a 216,236-square-foot state-of-the-art medical facility. Joint Venture to Lead Construction Management for Museum of Science & History Genesis Project

The Museum of Science & History has announced the selection of Balfour Beatty and Stellar as a joint venture to lead construction management for the MOSH Genesis project. Balfour Beatty and Stellar will oversee all vertical construction for the $85-million project, which will bring a new museum to the Shipyards East area on the Northbank of Downtown Jacksonville, Florida.
