HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – The Coast Community College District recently selected Sundt Construction, Inc. to build its new Mathematics & Science Building at the district’s Golden West College campus in Huntington Beach, California.
The 118,000-square-foot project, designed by HMC Architects, will feature a three-story classroom building that includes computer labs, lecture rooms, 18 wet and dry science labs, faculty offices and a STEM center. The project’s design phase is underway, with construction expected to begin in late 2016. The project, which is to be publically bid, will be administered using the multiple-prime delivery method.
In addition to the Mathematics & Science Building, Sundt is working on the campus’s new Student Services Center, expected to break ground in early 2016. Other notable Sundt community college construction projects include Orange Coast College Business, Math & Computing Center in Costa Mesa, Ohlone Community College Academic Core in Fremont and San Diego CCD Miramar College Library/Learning Resource Center in San Diego.
