BROOKHAVEN, Ga. – Earlier this week, the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Club and Emory Healthcare began demolition on the future site of the Emory Sports Medicine Complex, their 90,000-square foot state-of-the-art training and sports medicine center. Due to the hazard of filming on the construction area, footage was compiled and can be seen and downloaded here: https://ESMC_Demolition_B-Roll
The privately funded complex is being designed by HOK. Construction and management firm H.J. Russell & Company, in association with Legends Project Development, are serving as the project management team for the project and Brasfield & Gorrie General Contractors was recently selected to serve as construction manager.
The Emory Sports Medicine Complex is scheduled to be completed and open its doors prior to the 2017-18 season. The Hawks will provide additional details about the practice and training facility, including additional renderings and design plans, at a later date.
