The owners of HITT Contracting Inc. recently opened a New York office with the acquisition of Manhattan-based Americon Construction, a full-service commercial contractor with more than 26 of experience in commercial interiors. Americon will operate as an affiliate of HITT, and do business as Americon HITT.
Headquartered just outside of Washington, D.C., HITT will be expanding their reach northward. The company maintains offices in Atlanta, Georgia; Charleston, South Carolina; Denver, Colorado; Houston, Texas and South Florida, along with satellite locations in Baltimore, Maryland; Dallas, Texas; Richmond, Virginia and Seattle, Washington.
HITT’s work includes healthcare, hospitality, technology, government, institutional, law firms, interiors and base building projects. Projects include Boston Properties’ The Signature at Reston Town Center, a 21-story dual tower mixed-use complex; Inova Fairfax Hospital’s Critical Care Wing and North Tower Wing, a 306,000 square-foot gut and renovation of patient rooms and related support facilities; CyrusOne’s first East Coast data center, a 420,000 square foot, 48 megawatt facility; as well as interior fit-outs for co-working leader WeWork.
Americon’s portfolio crosses several of the same industries. Recent projects of include several high-end corporate interior jobs including the JP Morgan Training Center; UBS Welcome Center and the offices of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.
