ITASCA, Ill. — Developer Dayton Street Partners/WBS Equities has chosen the popular Portage Park neighborhood in Chicago, Illinois for the site of a major speculative distribution facility, and has hired its partner, PREMIER Design + Build Group, LLC to construct the project. The 40,750-square-foot facility is being built on a 1.6-acre site strategically situated near major expressways, train lines and airports in one of the largest markets in the nation.
The site is located at 4150 North Knox Avenue, just one block from the CTA, Metra Stop and the junction at I-94/90. More than 330,000 vehicles travel this expressway every day. O’Hare International Airport—one of the busiest airports in the world based on the number of takeoffs and landings – is located just a few miles north.
The warehouse will feature 30-foot, clear-height warehouse space, two parking lots and four covered dock positions. The result will be state-of-the-art, adaptable warehouse space that can accommodate up to two tenants. Two main glass storefront entrances with canopies will welcome visitors to Knox Industrial.
Kimley-Horn will provide engineering services while Cornerstone Architects, Ltd. is delivering architectural services. Colliers is representing the building.
