PCL Construction recently celebrated the official opening of the new DARE (Discovery, Applied Research, and Entrepreneurship) District Building, located in Ottawa, Ontario in Canada.
This project consisted of renovations, an expansion and an addition to Building C on the Woodroffe Campus. The addition will add space for learning, entrepreneurship and innovation, while recognizing indigenous roots and acting as a gathering place to spark new ideas and lead change.
“We were proud to have PCL Construction and Colliers International on our team,” said Todd Schonewille, director of physical resources at Algonquin College. “This was a very complex, long-term project that involved many stakeholders, tight timelines and some extreme weather conditions. The end product is a testament to the hard work of the PCL and Colliers crews.”
At a grand-opening event and ribbon cutting, the college opened the doors on the new heart of its Ottawa campus – an innovative $44.9-million project two years in the making.
