The Réunion University Hospital has awarded the contract for the design, construction, fitting out, upkeep and maintenance of the future Bâtiment Femme Parent Enfant in France to a consortium led by Demathieu Bard Construction, with GTOI (a subsidiary of the Colas/Bouygues Group) as a co-contractor, along with architectural consultancy SCAU and engineering consultancy Artelia. Another key milestone has been marked at Greenfield Academy in Newton Aycliffe (England) as Esh Construction celebrated the topping out of the academy’s new three-story teaching block. Balfour Beatty was awarded an £83-million contract by Hub North Scotland to construct the new Forres Academy school in Moray, Scotland, on behalf of the Moray Council. Through the contract, the project team will be responsible for the construction of the new 12,143-square-meter secondary school campus, which will include facilities such as a new 3G artificial grass sports pitch and car park.
