Second Major Bridge Replacement Completed at Amsterdam Centraal Station

The second major bridge replacement at Amsterdam Centraal Station has been finalized, following its successful completion of the first in 2025. Five bridges are being upgraded in total, with this work forming part of the High-Frequency Rail Transport Program led by ProRail and covers track optimizations, infrastructure adjustments and civil work inside the station building, aimed at enabling more trains to run to and from the station in the future. Large Portuguese Public Building 3D Printed in Record 9 Days Using COBOD Technology

Portuguese construction 3D-printing company Havelar has delivered a public building for the municipality of Matosinhos using construction 3D-printing technology. The project, a 500-square-meter recycling center office at the Ecocentro de Perafita in Porto, Portugal, was printed in 9 days on budget using a COBOD BOD2 construction 3D printer operated by a four-person crew. The structure incorporates curved walls throughout — a feature that would add significant cost using conventional formwork, but which construction 3D printing produces directly from the digital model at no additional labor or material cost. BAM to Deliver Sustainable, Mixed-use Extension of Rabobank HQ Campus

BAM and Rabobank have formed an integrated project team for the redevelopment of the Matser site adjacent to Rabobank’s headquarters in Utrecht (Netherlands). This sustainable, mixed-use extension of the Rabobank campus on Croeselaan will comprise 81,600 square meters, including 67,000 square meters of office space and associated facilities, 145 rental homes across social, mid-market and private rental segments, as well as a range of public amenities. Contract Awarded for New Maternity and Children’s Ward at Hospital in France

The Réunion University Hospital has awarded the contract for the design, construction, fitting out, upkeep and maintenance of the future Bâtiment Femme Parent Enfant in France to a consortium led by Demathieu Bard Construction, with GTOI (a subsidiary of the Colas/Bouygues Group) as a co-contractor, along with architectural consultancy SCAU and engineering consultancy Artelia. Topping-out Milestone Celebrated at Greenfield Academy in Newton Aycliffe

Another key milestone has been marked at Greenfield Academy in Newton Aycliffe (England) as Esh Construction celebrated the topping out of the academy’s new three-story teaching block. Representatives from the Advanced Learning Partnership Multi Academy Trust, Durham County Council, Atkins Realis, staff and pupils joined the project team to mark progress on the multi-million-pound development, which is delivering a modern education hub alongside enhanced sports and community facilities.
