Haselden Construction recently celebrated the topping out of One Snowmass in Snowmass Village, Colorado. The new two-building resort will offer 41 whole and fractional ownership condos with sweeping views of the Roaring Fork Valley and an abundance of amenities. The resort will be the focal point of the entrance to Snowmass Base Village.
One Snowmass, designed by 4240 Architecture, will provide 165,000 square feet of residential living space, retail shops, restaurants, a fitness center and yoga studio, spa and medical center. Condo units, ranging from 1,500 to 3,500 square feet, will have balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows with views of either the Roaring Fork Valley or Snowmass Ski Area. In addition, the buildings will have rooftop solar panels and be LEED Gold certified to maximize energy efficiency and offer the healthiest living experience possible.
The resort sits at the entrance of Snowmass Base Village and has required additional measures by Haselden Construction to ensure the safety and well-being of village visitors, employees and construction workers, including:
- Complete wrap of scaffolding around the village main entrance and bus lanes keeping the space open, safe and accessible
- Fences around connector walkways to ensure no debris falls on pedestrians
- Snow fences along back of the building to prevent blocked fire lanes or public walkways and minimize impact on neighboring businesses
- Temporary steel structure constructed around the four-story escalators so they remain safe and operational during the ski season
- Complete wrap of the exterior building to protect it from winter conditions and allow for temporary heating of all work space
- Construction of a two-hour fire wall to separate construction from public access
One Snowmass is part of the $600-million, 10-year redevelopment of Snowmass Base Village, and is slated to open in November 2019.
