Ryan Companies recently closed on land in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, where it will develop the new U.S. headquarters for Kurita America, Inc., a producer of water treatment solutions. The build-to-suit will be located at Ryan’s business park development, 610Zane.
The City of Brooklyn Park approved the project on March 30, and Ryan began construction on April 13. The location will stand as Kurita’s U.S. headquarters, which is comprised of a consolidation between Tonka Water out of Plymouth, Minnesota; Fremont Industries out of Shakopee, Minnesota and US Water out of St. Michael, Minnesota.
Of the 156,000-square-foot facility, approximately 84,000 square feet will be allocated as production space and the remainder will serve as lab, training and office space. In addition, the new facility will feature an elevated, observation deck overlooking the entire production area, which is larger than a football field. Kurita expects approximately 200 of its 620 employees will occupy the building once completed.
In addition to the development of the site, Ryan Companies has designed the site core and shell and will build the project. PlanForce is the interior designer. Kurita was represented by Corporate Tenant Advisors and Ryan Companies was by CBRE in the transaction.
