The Reno Cyclery construction project in Nevada was recently awarded to general contractor SR Construction, Inc. for Phase I of the 9,793-square-foot building. It will be a full-service bike shop intended to provide bike sales, repairs, maintenance services, as well as provide bike tours.
Design methods on this project included a focus on energy efficiency and renewable energy concepts. With the addition of solar panel roofing, the Reno Cyclery project will be constructed with LEED certification and net-zero energy and carbon emissions to help sustain and protect the surrounding environment.
Phase I of the project will include site work scopes, site grading, underground wet utility work and installation of onsite masonry retaining walls. Phase II will mark the building phase slated to begin in 2022. Once complete, Reno Cyclery will create a sense of place for cyclists and will be an exciting new addition to the City of Reno.
