Institute of Applied Technology – Construction Opens in Western Sydney

The $80-million Institute of Applied Technology – Construction facility in Kingswood Western Sydney (Australia), is open. The project team included CPB Contractors.
The new campus features state-of-the-art facilities, including a drone room, digital engineering labs, a construction sandpit and large workshop spaces to accommodate the construction of full-scale buildings that can be used in carpentry, plumbing and electrotechnology training.

Learners across Australia have already enrolled in more than 10,000 online micro-skills or micro-credentials and face-to-face classroom learning that covers topics such as:

  • 2D CAD drawings and 3D models
  • Building Information Modeling
  • Commercial & contract management in construction
  • Contract administration
  • Project management
  • Frontline leaders in construction
  • Procurement and commercial management
  • Reality capture technologies
