Ground was recently broken for Phase II of the renovation and expansion of Juba Teaching Hospital located in South Sudan (Africa). The general contractor on the project is CSCEC.
Hussein Abdelbagi Akol, vice president of South Sudan, attended the groundbreaking ceremony and highlighted the pragmatic cooperation between China and South Sudan, aiming to enhance South Sudan’s medical treatment capabilities and support the development of the healthcare sector.
Phase II of the renovation and expansion of Juba Teaching Hospital covers a total area of approximately 2.28 hectares, with a total construction area of about 16,779 square meters. The project will provide 272 beds, and includes six functional areas: an outpatient and administrative complex, medical and inpatient complex, infectious disease building, logistics building, water tower and sewage treatment plant.
