Work has begun on a $2-billion project to expand Vantage Data Centers’ campus in New Albany, Ohio. Turner Construction Company is serving as the general contractor on the project. The start of construction was celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony attended by representatives from Vantage, Turner and leaders from local organizations.
The campus is Vantage’s first project in the Midwest and will provide secure and reliable infrastructure for cloud technologies and artificial intelligence. Situated on 70 acres, the data center will provide 192 megawatts of capacity across more than 1.5 million square feet. It will be built in alignment with Turner and Vantage’s sustainability goals and will seek to achieve LEED Silver accreditation. The campus will be included in Vantage’s commitment to achieving net-zero operational carbon emissions by 2030 across its global portfolio.
The first building will be opened in 2025.
