The final beam for the University of Georgia School of Medicine’s medical education and research building was recently set into place — a milestone that marks the completion of the structural phase of the building. The final beam for the University of Georgia School of Medicine’s medical education and research building was set into place Nov. 25. Turner Construction Company is serving as the project’s general contractor. The 93,000-square-foot building, located on UGA’s Health Sciences campus in Athens, Georgia, will serve as the primary educational building for the School of Medicine.
