Turner, JV Partner Walsh Construction Top Out $900M Hospital Project

Turner Construction Company and Joint Venture partner Walsh Construction celebrated the topping out of the $900-million Louisville VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The ceremony was attended by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, other state and local officials, and representatives of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the US Army Corps of Engineers. The Louisville VA Medical Center will offer 104 beds to care for the 45,000 veterans in the area. It will include a Women’s Health Clinic, a utility plant and parking structures. Joint Ventured Tapped for $1.2B Austin Convention Center Redevelopment Project

A joint-venture team of Turner Construction Company and JE Dunn Construction was awarded a contract to lead a $1.2-billion redevelopment and expansion of the Austin Convention Center in Texas. The project will involve demolishing and rebuilding the convention center over four years. The expansion and redevelopment will nearly double the amount of rentable space allowing the convention center to remain competitive in the marketplace. The redevelopment will also deliver a community-friendly event space that will transform the southeast quadrant of downtown and provide connectivity between downtown and East Austin. Construction will be complete in 2028.
