City of Dickson Breaks Ground on City Center

Hoar Construction announced the groundbreaking of a new city center for the city of Dickson, Tennessee. The general contractor is leading construction on the new facility, which will include the police station, a courtroom and city administrative offices. Construction officially kicked off on Sept. 11 with a groundbreaking ceremony hosted in partnership with the city of Dickson.

The 44,204-square-foot facility will replace the previous 71-year-old municipal building, bringing together several city services under one roof. The new city center will house the police station on the right side of the building. City administration, including the mayor, will office out of the left side of the building. The clerk’s office and a courtroom will be found in the center of the building. As part of its scope, Hoar will also lead substantial enhancements to the public infrastructure surrounding the property, including roads and sidewalks.

Southern Architecture Workshop is serving as the architect of record for Dickson City Center. The project is anticipated to be completed in March 2028.
