Hoar Construction Breaks Ground On New Campus for St. Peter’s Anglican Church

Hoar Construction has broken ground on a 28,000-square-foot church for St. Peter’s Anglican Church in the Crestline Park neighborhood of Birmingham, Alabama. The project is expected to be completed by summer 2027 and will serve as the new campus for St. Peter’s, which is currently located on Montevallo Road in Mountain Brook.

The campus will feature a sanctuary for 500 people as well as classrooms, administrative offices, fellowship spaces and a youth ministry area. Designed with future growth in mind, the church’s mezzanine level can be adapted over time to expand seating capacity. Hoar will also construct a new parking lot to accommodate more congregants.

The church will also include a columbarium, with additional design elements including a handcrafted altar rail, bell tower, large windows, multiple covered porticos and exposed glulam timber members spanning the sanctuary’s ceiling.

LIVE Design Group is serving as the architect for the project, with Schoel Engineering providing civil engineering services.
