  • FTI was awarded first place in the Specialty Contractors division (over four million hours category) by the Associated General Contractors of America at the 2023 Construction Safety Excellence Awards. AGC ranks its commercial and industrial contractor members that build long-lasting, high-quality construction projects, based on work hours. Award winners are selected by a panel of five independent safety professionals within the government, corporate and insurance industries.

The award was given at the Midwest Construction Safety Conference and recognizes a company’s management commitment, active employee participation, safety training, work-site hazard identification and control and safety program innovation.
  • FTI earned a National Safety Merit Award from Associated Builders and Contractors, which was presented at the 33rd annual Excellence in Construction Awards during the ABC Convention 2023. Contractors were judged on self-evaluation scores, lost workday case rates, total recordable incident rates, leading indicator use, process and program innovations and interviews conducted by members of ABC’s National Health and Safety Committee. FTI is also ranked in the top 10 of ABC’s Top 250 Performers, a ranking demonstrating the positive impact of strong safety programs.
