Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, has been selected to deliver exterior and interior renovations to the Salem Civic Center/City Hall in Salem, Oregon to create a 21st century workplace for the mayor and city managers offices, city council chambers, municipal courts and planning and purchasing departments.
Roughly $40 million in substantial renovations will be made to the 1970 Civic Center featuring a seismic retrofit and structural upgrades. Additionally, the project team will deliver a new parking garage and extensive interior renovations.
Project partners include Hacker Architects and CBTWO Architects. The company has been contracted for design and preconstruction activities with the remainder of the full award contracted in Q2 2025. Construction will begin fall 2025 with an expected completion in spring 2027.
