Alamein Downtown Towers Main Structure Tops Out

The main structure of the Iconic Tower in Egypt’s Alamein Downtown Towers, constructed by CSCEC, recently topped out, marking the complete structural topping of the project. Located on Egypt’s northern Mediterranean coast, about 100 kilometers west of Alexandria, the New Alamein City is set to become a central hub for culture, services and tourism along the northern coast.

As the starting point and core of New Alamein City’s development, this project includes the design and construction of four super high-rise residential buildings and the Iconic Tower. Standing at 291.82 meters with 67 floors above ground and two underground, and a total construction area of approximately 402,600 square meters, the tower also represents a milestone in African construction.

The project required a concrete pour of 19,683 cubic meters, achieving the largest foundation slab construction volume in Africa to date. Upon completion, it will be the tallest all-reinforced concrete residential high-rise on the continent.
