CPB Contractors has marked a major milestone in the delivery of Australia’s Nepean Hospital Redevelopment Stage 2 project, with the building officially topping out following the concrete pour of the top floor.
This milestone represents the progress of a transformative redevelopment that will expand healthcare capacity and services for the growing Penrith and Blue Mountains communities.
As part of Stage 2, the project team is delivering a new seven-story clinical building housing facilities including an intensive care unit, medical imaging, nuclear medicine, renal dialysis and a pediatric inpatient unit.
The new building will also feature a striking three-story atrium at the hospital entrance, featuring the Aboriginal Mudyin (Family) Centre, retail amenities and welcoming spaces for patients, staff and visitors.
External works such as a modern loading dock, landscaping and sitewide infrastructure will support future growth.
Now that the top floor has been poured, works continue inside the building with fit-out progressing across all levels. The project remains on track for completion in late 2026.
