Curran Young Construction Begins Phase II Modernization of North Road Terminal at Naples Airport

Curran Young Construction will begin work in May on phase II of renovations at the North Road Terminal at Naples Airport. Phase II work will include renovations to the lobby, waiting areas, car rental spaces and grab-n-go cafe, as well as interior finishes, furnishings, air conditioning systems and roof repairs.

The work at the airport, scheduled to run through November 2026, is designed to modernize the terminal’s interior while maintaining full airport operations throughout construction.

The 14,884-square-foot project includes selective demolition and significant interior upgrades, such as new terrazzo flooring, modernized car rental agency counters and all-new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.

A key design feature will be the installation of Cloud Wave acoustic ceiling elements, along with new casework, furnishings and architectural finishes intended to transform the space from a traditional office-style interior into a more contemporary, airport-focused environment.

Additional enhancements include the addition of planters with synthetic greenery, tambour-wrapped columns and airplane wing-inspired rental counters. A former military museum space will be repurposed into an expanded seating area and a feature wall highlighting local history.

Architectural design for the project was led by Schenkel Shultz.
