Preferred Contractor Tapped to Deliver Redcliffe Hospital Expansion

In partnership with the Queensland Government, Health Infrastructure Queensland and Metro North Health, Lendlease has been selected as preferred contractor to deliver the Redcliffe Hospital expansion, a major health infrastructure project for the Moreton Bay region in Australia.

The project is a key part of the Queensland Government’s Hospital Rescue Plan, and will increase healthcare capacity and support improved access to services for one of Queensland’s fastest-growing communities.

With a focus on maintaining continuity of care, patient safety and day-to-day hospital operations, construction will be carefully staged to ensure hospital services can continue uninterrupted throughout delivery.
The first major stage includes a new clinical services building, delivering more than 200 new overnight beds, expanded services including maternity, endoscopy and operating theatres, followed by a staged refurbishment of the existing hospital building. Early and enabling works will begin later this year.

The expansion will support local jobs, businesses and skills development, with around 90% of subcontractors expected to be sourced from the local region, alongside investment in apprenticeships and training opportunities.
